The stock BMW head unit I have is the older generation one known as CIC HI. This unit was hidden in the section towards the left of the cars stock head unit. Pushing the stock head unit back into its slot needs some effort as the cables right behind it are more now. The head unit will take another 4 screws to secure, followed by 4 more screws to mount the Climate Control unit. Note that these screws are slightly different to the screws used to hold the head unit and climate control unit.
