Zoox’s Robotaxi: More detailsAmazonand self-driving carsAmazon-owned autonomous vehicle startup Zoox Inc. has reportedly carried passengers in its completely self-driving car on public roads for the first time. The permit was later extended by the state to include the self-driving Robotaxi. The autonomous vehicle doesn’t have traditional controls or pedals. As per the report, Zoox’s Robotaxi can travel at a top speed of 35 miles per hour.In 2020, Amazon acquired Zoox for an undisclosed sum. However, the company has not started testing its self-driving shuttle yet.
