Autonomous Trucks
A NEW AAA survey has revealed that 68 percent of people are scared of self-driving vehicles, up 13 percent from last year. Over-reliance on autonomous (self-driving) technology and driverless accident reports were highlighted as prime factors contributing toward motorists’ growing concerns. Most driverless technology within cars exists at Level 2 autonomy. Level 2 self-driving vehicles are usually equipped with advanced driving assistance systems [ADAS] that can control steering, braking, and acceleration in certain circumstances, Fierce Electronics reports. Earlier this month, Tesla recalled 362,758 vehicles equipped with its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta over serious crash risk concerns.
