This video introduces the Q-Truck, an electric autonomous heavy-duty truck working today the same environment as conventional trucks. The vehicle was designed in-house by Westwell from the ground up and the Q-Truck team took the design approach of entirely removing the driver cabin to make it truly autonomous. Some of these trucks have been working in ports in Thailand, Malaysia and United Arab Emirates. The fleet of six Q-Trucks in Hutchison Port Thailand, which have been working since 2020, reached the milestone of having performed 150,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) movements.
