While developing markerless AR is complex, this AR variant is gaining popularity over marker-based AR among forward-thinking industry players. Basically, while the user can control characters and activities within the virtual experience, the virtual environment does not directly interact with the user. This VR variant can be used to create a fully-immersive virtual gaming zone wherein players can interact with their virtual surroundings and each other’s in-game avatars.
