MEMS-based sensing devices by Aceinna are available from Avnet, following a global distribution agreement between the two companies. The agreement enables Avnet to sell Aceinna products which include inertial navigation systems (INS), real time kinematic (RTK) solutions, inertial measurement units (IMUs), and current sensors. The MEMS modules are suitable for use in off-road, autonomous, and EV (electric vehicle) automotive markets. Jason Skiczen, sales director, Lightspeed and Transportation, at Avnet is optimistic about the new agreement’s potential to introduce sensor technologies across multiple industries. “Aceinna’s products are particularly well positioned in the transportation vertical, which should help facilitate Avnet’s continued rapid growth in this segment,” he said.
