Daimler Truck aims for profitability of 12% by 2030

Daimler Truck Holding is aiming for a profitability target of more than 12% by the end of the decade, as announced today during the Investor Day. Daimler Truck has also raised its forecast for 2023 following improved supply chains and strong demand. In May, Toyota Motor Corp. and Daimler Truck agreed to merge their truck manufacturing subsidiaries, Hino Motors Ltd. and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus, to boost profitability and work on alternative fuels and self-driving technology. The firm said the move was an “excellent example of active portfolio management strategy.”Daimler’s truck division boosted returns after spin-off from Mercedes-Benz in late 2021 and said it was on track to boost profitability to more than 10% by 2025. It also announced yesterday it will buy back 2 billion euros of treasury shares.
