Einride and UAE to introduce Middle East’s largest autonomous and electric fleet

Einride, a freight mobility company that provides digital, electric and autonomous technology, is launching a collaboration with the UAE Government to “fast track the region to sustainable shipping”. The signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will look to deploy Einride’s ecosystem, including electric and autonomous vehicles, charging infrastructure and transforming technology that unlocks digital, electric and autonomous solutions at scale throughout the Falcon Rise grid. Robert Falck, CEO and founder of Einride, says: “This collaboration gets to the core of what Einride provides – the transformation to effective and sustainable shipping that is fully electric. Sharif Alolama, MOEI’s Undersecretary for Energy and petroleum affairs, says: “The establishment of the UAE Falcon Rise grid represents a significant milestone in our journey toward sustainable and intelligent transportation. The Falcon Rise project will look to be developed over the course of five years.
