Law enforcement agencies in eleven states will partner for a single day effort to crack down on speeding vehicles. On Wednesday, July 26, law enforcement agencies will take part in a Speed Awareness campaign. During the single day effort, state and local police officers will be on patrol for speed violations by passenger vehicle drivers, commercial vehicle drivers, and motorcyclists. “Our goal is to save lives, and we’re putting all drivers on alert — the posted speed limit is the law. If drivers choose to exceed the posted limit, they can expect a citation.”
