Autonomous Trucks
Javelin Robotics has developed a highly autonomous Level 4 truck called Blackbird. Javelin Robotics believes that by focusing on a “smaller pie” of routes, highly autonomous technologies can be scaled more quickly. Javelin Robotics is supported by Y Combinator, which has invested $500,000 into their work. Although Javelin Robotics has Canadian roots, their path to commercialization is currently focused on the United States. However, Javelin Robotics remains hopeful that regulations in Canada will also be pursued when the timing is right.
