The Automotive Hall of Fame will welcome its latest class of inductees on July 20 at a black-tie affair at the Fillmore in Detroit. The six-member honor Class of 2023 includes five-time Formula 1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio, General Motors CEO Mary Barra, Hot Wheels designer extraordinaire Larry Wood, Gentex founder Fred Bauer, automotive designer McKinley Thompson Jr. and Honda co-founder Takeo Fujisawa. The Automotive Hall of Fame nominating committee researches and identifies candidates each year for induction into the Automotive Hall of Fame. The AHOF board includes a group of five officers and 39 leaders from the automotive industry. The Automotive Hall of Fame was founded in 1939 and has inducted 755 individuals.
