The Kerala Police has developed a system called chops, which utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) Image Search to identify and apprehend criminals. The system can compare images of suspects with a database of around one lakh criminal records stored in the Criminal Gallery, ensuring effective identification. Even if criminals change their appearance, the Face Recognition System in iCops helps recognize them. The software has been developed by skilled police personnel from the CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems) division. Trained police officers, like those at the Thrissur Vadakkanchery Police Station, utilize this tool effectively to apprehend suspects and solve criminal cases.
