SELF-DRIVING startup Gatik has announced a deal with grocer Kroger to deliver goods to the grocer’s stores across Dallas, Texas, using autonomous box trucks. At the start of the second quarter this year, Gatik’s box trucks will launch Dallas-area Kroger deliveries with a 20-foot cold chain-capable box designed to transport ambient, refrigerated, and even frozen goods, according to The Spoon. Since beginning commercial operations in 2019, Gatik says it has successfully delivered half a million customer orders using its robo box trucks.
