The Polish woman who sent shockwaves around the world claiming to be Madeleine McCann is most likely not the missing British girl, according to a facial recognition assessment. Swiss newspaper Blick revealed the test, performed by local software company Ava-X, confirmed it was “practically impossible” for the 21-year-old woman to be Maddie. Ava-X boss Christian Fehrlin said the AI company first compared a childhood photograph of Julia Wendell with one of her as an adult. The news comes weeks after Ms Wendell agreed to get a DNA test to prove she was indeed Maddie.
