By leveraging Google’s navigation system, the luxury car manufacturer aims to enhance its vehicles’ performance, battery range, and self-driving capabilities. To bring down the high upfront costs of purchasing expensive semiconductors, Mercedes-Benz has agreed to share revenue with its partner, Nvidia Corp, a semiconductor maker they’ve been collaborating with on automated driving software since 2020. Mercedes has announced its collaboration with Google to bring new features to their upcoming cars. This move follows other carmakers, such as General Motors, Renault, Nissan, and Ford, who have already integrated Google services like Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other applications into their cars. Mercedes is hopeful that the collaboration with Google will provide a unique and modern driving experience for their customers.
