In 2017, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Apple iPhone X were new high-end smartphones that came with optional face recognition. The car supplier now wants to add facial recognition to the car. In addition to 2D recognition, there has been three-dimensional face recognition for several years, as are the various Microsoft Surface models.
