Saudi Arabia aims to have 15% of its public transport vehicles as autonomous by 2030, according to Omaimah Bamasag, Deputy of Transport Enablement at the Transport General Authority. Coverage is only valid for vehicles that are driven and operated in licensed areas and areas designated for autonomous vehicles. Levels 4 and 5 of personal autonomous vehicles may require more study and research to be commercially ready.
