A SWAN Shuttle autonomous vehicle comes to a stop while making a left turn from the Lynx Central Station onto westbound Amelia Street to let traffic exiting from I-4 onto Garland Ave. pass in downtown Orlando, Tuesday, August 22, 2023. In its first week of operation by the City of Orlando, the free, driverless passenger service —powered by Beep Technologies— loops on an automated, continuous route from the Lynx terminal through multiple stops in the downtown Creative Village district. The SWAN vehicles will operate using the LYMMO Orange Line and drive during off-peak hours daily, with the pilot program running through April 2024. (Joe Burbank/Orlando Sentinel)
