Skoda Auto has rolled out its latest tech update that warns drivers of damaged or slippery roads ahead via the vehicle’s infotainment system. The system is based on swarm data intelligence, collecting and assessing various data points (from other users) with connected car tech. If it detects that you’re driving on slippery or damaged roads, the system will warn you via a notification on the infotainment system. It will then transmit that information to the cloud, following which Skoda sends it to the service provider. This feature will be available for all Skodas that come with either the Amundsen or the Columbus infotainment system.
