Targa Telematics has signed a strategic partnership with Renault, expanding the Targa range of connected car solutions with integrated data from Renault and Dacia vehicles. As an authorised Renault telematics services provider, Targa can now utilise the “Renault Easy Connect for Fleet”, connecting and activating most Renault passenger car and light commercial vehicle models directly into its platform. It means Targa customers will now be able to stream vehicle data including location, mileage, fuel consumption, battery and charging data for EVs, along other key information, without the need to install aftermarket hardware. By integrating data-streams from each manufacturer’s in-vehicle systems, Targa Telematics aims to develop innovative connected mobility solutions that cater to customers’ needs. The company has also reinforced its work with automakers on global data partnerships with the recent appointment of Henning Wiefelspuetz as head of OEM business integration.
