Tata Motors today announced that the Nexon has reached the production milestone of 2 lakh units. While the 150,000th unit of the Tata Nexon Nexon was produced in November 2020, Tata Motors claims that the last 50,000 units have been rolled out in less than six months, with demand outpacing supply and production limited due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. Launched in India in September 2017, the Tata Nexon had reached the production mark of 50,000 units in September 2018 and 1 lakh units in September 2019. The Tata Nexon is currently available in 20 variants across petrol and diesel options. The automaker will reportedly discontinue some variants of the Nexon diesel soon.
