Tesla has announced its plans to spend more than $1 billion on its Dojo supercomputer by the end of 2024. He highlighted the importance of training complex machine learning models with a large volume of data, stating that the more training data available, the better the results. In addition to Dojo, Tesla has also built a compute cluster equipped with 5,760 Nvidia A100 GPUs for video training. However, Musk mentioned that the supply of GPUs from Nvidia is limited due to high demand from various customers. With its significant investment in Dojo and the focus on training machine learning models with extensive data, Tesla is positioning itself to push the boundaries of autonomous driving technology.
