Autonomous Trucks
The autonomous-vehicle industry is full of entrepreneurs with big ambitions but little to show for them so far. David Liu, the CEO and cofounder of startup Plus, is one of a small number whose technology is ready for the road. Earlier this year, Plus, which is developing automated-driving systems for semi trucks, started delivering PlusDrive, its first commercial product. By the end of this year, the two companies plan to begin building trucks with Plus' technology installed. SPACs aggressively targeted electric-vehicle startups in 2020, raising the possibility that autonomous-vehicle companies could be next.
