Autonomous Trucks
Kodiak Robotics, Inc. has announced that it is the first company to pilot the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Enhanced Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Inspection Standard program, which allows autonomous trucks to pre-clear roadside inspections. The pilot program aims to demonstrate a solution to a critical hurdle in the deployment of autonomous trucks and expand to other states with help from regulators and Drivewyze. The program shows how autonomous vehicle developers and law enforcement can work together to ensure high safety and maintenance standards. The Texas-based pilot program will serve as a model for other states as autonomous trucks become available nationwide. (Source: Kodiak Robotics)
