OverdriveToyota Kirloskar Motor India is expected to launch the Toyota Hilux 4x4 pick-up in the Indian market by the 2021 festive season. The 2021 Toyota Hilux is expected to be locally assembled in the country and will compete with another pickup truck, the recently reintroduced Isuzu V-Cross. The India-spec Toyota Hilux is expected to get the same 2.8-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel as in the recently facelifted Toyota Fortuner. The current, eight-generation of the Toyota Hilux has been on sale since 2015 but was treated to an extensive facelift alongside the Fortuner last year. The 2021 Toyota Hilux can be expected to go on sale by August-September 2021.
