US safety body recommends 'safe' Nissan cars for teens

The US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) updated its annual list of "affordable, safe and reliable vehicles for teens" for 2021. The following Nissan new and pre-owned models made the list: the 2021 Altima sedan and Murano crossover. Nissan-AltimaOnly 2021 vehicles that come with vehicle-to-vehicle automatic emergency braking as standard equipment are included in the recommendations, the IIHS explained. Nissan MuranoOn the other hand, the IIHS-recommended used Nissan cars for teens are the Rogue crossover (from 2014 to 2018 model years), and the Murano (from 2015 to 2020). For the 2021 model year, Nissan Safety Shield 360 becomes standard on all Murano varieties.
