TAIWAN – IP video surveillance provider VIVOTEK has announced it will officially launch its AI security system, VAST Security Station (VSS), in March. The VSS platform combines advanced artificial intelligence (AI) with edge computing technologies to achieve accurate facial recognition and vehicle detection in real-time with integrated security cameras Vivotek stated. "VSS is an easy-to-use AI security system. According to the 2022 Video Surveillance & Analytics Database Report, Vivotek cites that the global video surveillance software market is estimated to be worth USD 1.9 billion. In the growing market, edge AI cameras account for as much as 40% of all network cameras shipped globally.
