WeRide deploys Robobus service in Zhuhai's Hengqin Cooperation Zone

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 7, WeRide, the leading Chinese autonomous driving solution developer, inaugurated its autonomous driving demonstration bus route in the Hengqin Cooperation Zone of Zhuhai city, Guangdong Province. From starting, straight driving, turning, U-turns, to braking, the Robobus consistently exhibited accurate responses without the need for human intervention. In March 2023, WeRide deployed nearly 50 Robobuses in Wuxi city, Jiangsu Province, establishing the largest autonomous driving microcirculation public transportation system in China. With the launch in Hengqin, Zhuhai city, WeRide has now expanded its presence to its 19th city globally, showcasing the technical reliability and commercial replicability of its L4 autonomous driving technology.
