Connected Car
A woman died Tuesday after a tree fell on her car during severe storms in Durham. According to Durham police, the tree fell on a car belonging to 78-year-old Donna Warshaw of Hillsborough. Trees across central North Carolina were falling as severe storms ripped through the area. Police said around 4:30 p.m. Warshaw was driving north on Anderson Street in a 2023 BMW X3. When she was driving through the intersection at Morehead Avenue, a large tree fell on her car.
