Xperi, the company that owns the TiVo operating platform, has announced full year revenues of $502 million for 2022, up 3% from the prior year. Q4 was even better, with revenues of $136m during the fourth quarter up 9% year-on-year. Jon Kirchner, chief executive officer of Xperi, said the quarter was “underscored by substantial market progress, notable design wins, and strong financial performance. Xperi also said that TiVo OS will be integrated onto Amlogic’s 4K and 2K chipsets designed for Smart TVs, “significantly reducing cost and time-to-market for TV OEMs looking to roll-out TiVo’s independent media platform”. In other areas, Xperi continues to invest in its Connected Car strategy and has scored several key client wins with DTS:X, its immersive audio technology.
