Shortly after Rainey’s body was found, arrest warrants were issued for 40-year-old Joshua Dean Nix, the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office said.\nIn addition to murder, Nix was wanted for possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, according to the sheriff’s office.\nAt about 8:30 a.m. Sunday, the sheriff’s office said Nix had been taken into custody overnight in Charleston.\nThe death continues to be investigated by the coroner’s office and sheriff’s office.\nSince 2009, Nix has been convicted of multiple crimes, including assault, Charleston County court records show.
