FRANKFURT -- Porsche said it is in talks with Google about integrating its software into its car cockpit.\nTalks about Google Automotive Services are underway, CEO Oliver Blume said on Monday after presenting the brand's full-year results for 2022.\nA source told Reuters in January that Porsche was weighing integrating Google's software, which would give customers access to Google applications such as Google Maps and Google Assistant without needing to connect the car to an Android phone.\nGeneral Motors, Renault, Nissan and Ford are among car companies that use embedded Google technology in their vehicles via a Google Automotive Services (GAS) package, offering Google Maps, Google Assistant and other applications.\nPorsche has previously been reluctant to use Google software because Google asked for too much data to be shared.
