The highlight of the festival is the PVOIL Cup Northern Gymkhana Championship (PVOIL VGC) 2026 - the second qualifying round of the national Gymkhana Championship system, where outstanding drivers compete fiercely for a ticket to the national finals. Organized by the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Vietnam Motor Sports Federation (VMF), the tournament further affirms the systematic development direction of the motorsport movement in Vietnam, while expanding the experiential space for tourists through a festival model combining sports and tourism. In Gymkhana, where every cone determines the outcome and errors are measured in milliseconds, racers must seamlessly combine vehicle control, optimal racing line selection, traction management, and throttle and brake control to maintain high speed while ensuring absolute precision. There is no room for error. Just one inaccurate steering maneuver, one missed cone, or one late corner entry can cause an athlete to lose their advantage after many perfect laps. This year's competition brings together 27 athletes, including 13 drivers competing in the Front-Wheel Drive (FWD) category and 14 drivers in the Rear-Wheel Drive/All-Wheel Drive (RWD/AWD) category.
