David Toth won SimRacing Expo Frankfurt’s biggest LAN event of the weekend: the 80-lap eNASCAR Euro Show Race. The race was a repeat of Charlotte’s own SimRacing Expo in May, which put on an event at its virtual Speedway for North American drivers in iRacing. David Toth led with compatriot Adam Meszaros in second, and an almighty battle for third behind. Er-Rabhi would get up to second, but there was no catching Toth, who took victory by nearly five seconds. A thoroughly deserved win for the Hungarian, who really dominated the final event of the Expo.
Over 29,000 people came through the doors of Sim Racing Expo this year, held for the first time in Frankfurt. At a Sim Racing Expo where every other booth saw sim racers hotlapping on race circuits, that really stood out. Where Simufy’s kart rig demonstrated the practicality and affordability of a kart-based sim rig, Chinese manufacturer Conspit went for the opposite approach. Is that sim racing, or sim-sim racing? Fanatec has clearly noted that display units have been a massive growth area for the sim racing market over the last year.
Fanatec unveiled Project Obsidian, a sim racing wheel set to hit the market in 2027, at the SimRacing Expo 2026 in Frankfurt. The prototype previews the direction chosen by the CORSAIR group brand for its next generation of peripherals, a project developed to integrate SimHub compatibility from the outset. Telemetry data can be transmitted via USB or Wi-Fi, with the latter mode primarily designed for UDP telemetry and console game compatibility. New Wheels and Pedals for Sim Racing Among other novelties, the ClubSport Formula V3 Oracle Red Bull Racing stands out, an officially licensed replica inspired by the RB22 single-seater. Equipped with a 2.7" OLED display and forged carbon components, it is expected by mid-November 2026.

On December 9, 2026, Assetto Corsa EVO will receive update 0.10 with a 1:1 scale map of the German Eifel region and the ability to drive off-road. According to Misha Charoudin, the graphics look "frighteningly realistic" when compared to the real terrain in Germany, which he knows well. The release timing for Assetto Corsa Rally 1.0 will be announced at a later stage, as we get closer to launch."

The cost range of load cell pedals can fall anywhere from entry-level or budget-friendly options to high-end, professional pedals. If you already picked out a load cell pedal and have the budget for it, then the crux of the matter is… Will load cell pedals make me a better driver? Load cell pedals, or any other upgrade to your sim racing setup for that matter, will not magically give you better lap times.
After attracting a record number of last weekend, SimRacing Expo Frankfurt is set to return next year. However, next year’s European Expo will take place one month earlier than usual on 17th-19th September 2027 due to a scheduling conflict with another exhibition. “There’s a slight change next year,” South West Vision presenter Luke Crane announced on stage during the final day of the Expo. Before then, SimRacing Expo Charlotte will return on 21st– 23rd May 2027. This year’s Frankfurt expo enjoyed record visitor numbers, with 29,580 fans attending the event.

PXN has officially announced the results of its participation in the SimRacing Expo 2026 held in Frankfurt. The FC 285 and FS 290 wheels will be fully compatible with VD series bases. Regarding connectors, it was revealed that the FC 285 model features a magnetic connector system, while the FS 290 wheel will retain the aviation connector used in the GT ONE. Official retail pricing information for the S Series bases and FC 285 and FS 290 steering wheels is currently being kept under wraps and will be revealed later. The FC 285 and FS 290 Formula racing wheels are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027, with detailed pricing information to be released closer to the launch.
This year’s SimRacing Expo Frankfurt was the biggest and most successful yet, attracting record visitor numbers according to its organiser, South West Vision. A total of 29,580 visitors attended the event at Messe Frankfurt between 16thand 18th October – up from 24,371 last year. Other highlights included world premieres from Asetek, GSI and Ascher Racing. Last year’s successful show resulted in the European SimRacing Expo moving from Dortmund to a larger venue in Frankfurt, which “exceeded” expectations. Next year’s SimRacing Expo Frankfurt will be held earlier than usual on 17th- 18th September 2027.

The FIA has stepped up its sim racing esports involvement in 2026. Alongside its officially sanctioned FIA Esports European Hill Climb Cup event in Luxembourg last weekend, at the SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, it was the European leg of the FIA Esports Global Rally Tour. Argentina hosted the South American shootout in September, while SimRacing Expo held the European round on the same weekend as the North American finals in Costa Rica. It’s a truly global event, perhaps even the first of its kind, and it all takes place on Assetto Corsa Rally, across an 11.6km stage in Wales. Tommi Makinen was up against Tommi Hallman in the first semi-final, while in the other, Jan Hujicek was up against Kaapo Kalenius.
Just one year on from its shock exit at the Esports World Cup without even reaching the final, Porsche Coanda retain the Rennsport R1 crown, headed by the extraordinary pace of Charlie Collins. After the regular season, points for the six finalist teams were adjusted with the leading TC Esports just three points ahead of Porsche Coanda before the final. It was Porsche Coanda who seemed to get off to the best start, as it seemed to have taken a one-two in the first qualifying session. But out front Rogers took the win, putting Porsche Coanda six points clear of TCE after just one race. They locked out the front row at Spa for race two as well, another race with a very busy start.
Trak Racer has announced its intention to enter the sim racing wheel and pedal market in 2027, with a Fanatec-based entry-level bundle. While it is not named or priced yet, expect 3Nm of force from a direct drive wheel base, a round wheel and a simple non-load-cell two-pedal set. The Australian brand was recently purchased by Corsair, the same American tech company that purchased Fanatec in 2024. In recent years, it has developed its own range of sim racing electronics, including wheel bases. With Corsair owning both Trak Racer and Fanatec, it was assumed the former would focus on cockpits and seats, with the latter on wheels, pedals and electronic accessories.
