The 29-year-old Briton was once a formidable rival of Max Verstappen in their karting days, but this weekend marks his first appearance for Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing.
Almost 20 minutes after the incident, Lulham is handed a drive-through penalty, and Team Verstappen Racing drops to P16 after serving it.
Following an exceptionally strong final stint, Max therefore finishes the race in P9.

It’s become tradition that the finale of the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series takes place at NASCAR’s Hall of Fame in Charlotte, North Carolina, and this year was no different.
The NASCAR Cup Series has moved away from the previous playoff format due to heavy criticism in recent years, but for eNASCAR it remains, with four drivers and one race to settle the championship.
Steven Wilson was among those four, and as the pace car pulled in an overtime finish, it felt like a familiar dash for the cash at the end of a championship.
Wilson restarted second, but on the outside line, allowing title rival Connor Yeroschak to get alongside into turns one and two.
It was a special moment for Wilson to once again do it in front of his family in Charlotte, and these moments for friends and family are something these eNASCAR finales are so good at.

Fanatec and Trak Racer are showing new hardware at SimRacing Expo 2026, including early looks at upcoming steering wheels, licensed cockpits and new pedal options.
Fanatec is preparing a home‑user version of the ClubSport Formula Cockpit, previously used at Formula 1 FanZone and Paddock Club events.
Trak Racer’s lineup includes two TRZ Motorcycle Simulators, licensed racing cockpits from Porsche, Alpine and Aston Martin, and several Hot Wheels‑branded setups.
Fanatec is also showing the ClubSport F1 Racing System, combining the PlayStation‑licensed ClubSport DD+ wheel base with a Formula V3‑based wheel and paddle module.

Sim-Lab has revealed the bigger brother to its GTSL Pro Sim Racing Steering Wheel at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt.
The GTSL Ultimate features a similar inverted D-shaped chassis and triple-paddle arrangement to the Pro, but it now includes a full LED screen at its centre, plus a trio of backlit rotary knobs and obligatory LED shift lights.
The Ultimate also retains the two seven-way thumb switches from its progenitor, with a 300mm-wide aluminium chassis fronted by a carbon fibre faceplate.

The SU-GT2’s main selling point is that it can be adjusted without tools, instead using levered screws to enable loosening and tightening of its individual components.
For example, the wheelbase platform can be moved in three different directions and fitted with multiple different mounts to suit your wheel of choice and the pedal platform can be moved up or down, forwards or backwards and tilted.
The SU-GT2 is also compatible with SimUltimate’s range of cockpit accessories, available separately.
The SU-GT2 is currently priced for German customers at €1,099 inc VAT, and CHF 999.95 inc VAT for Swiss customers.
