The journey into the quantum realm in the UK began in 2014 when the national quantum technology program was launched.
This partnership between RAL Space and ESA led to the inception of three activities, each addressing different facets of quantum technologies in space.
Current Quantum Endeavors: Unveiling Three Initiatives Currently, quantum technologies are being developed in three fields: quantum computing, quantum key distribution and quantum sensing, for example with gravity.
Altogether the three activities covered three very different, albeit related, areas of quantum technologies, showcasing the expertise RAL Space can provide to support ESA quantum technologies ambitions.
