Are SMEs being priced out of the net-zero transition?

That is, according to Business Improvement District (BID) Better Bankside.

The non-profit surveyed its 900 business members, most of which are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and found that sustainability and environment ranked sixth in terms of the company’s biggest priorities.

Back in 2022, it was voted as the third most important, mirroring the fact that only around a quarter of UK small businesses believe they will reach net-zero by mid-century.
