Asetek Racing joins SimRacing Expo Frankfurt exhibitor list
Firm plans expansion after huge recent takeover deal
Danish hardware manufacturer Asetek Racing has confirmed it will be attending this year’s SimRacing Expo Frankfurt.
The firm, which was recently acquired by Suzhou Chunqiu Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. in a deal worth around $82M, is still led by enigmatic founder André Eriksen and plans to expand its future sim racing lineup.
Part of this is the growth of its entry-level Initium range and console compatibility, with the upcoming Initium DD10 Wheelbase featuring Xbox compatibility; a first for the brand. The new wheelbase is set for a Q4 2026 release window, so it is expected to be on display at the Messe Frankfurt for the show’s duration between the16th and 18th October.
This year’s Expo will also feature a live stage element, which is set to feature guest speakers, and will also showcase the live in-person final of Rennsport’s R1 esports competition, where top sim racing teams battle it out for a share of a €10,000 prize pool.
