Assetto Corsa Rally has teased the three new cars coming with Early Access Update 0.6, with the latest video appearing to reveal a Peugeot 206 WRC, Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 and an early Audi Quattro rally car. The short teaser was published by the official Assetto Corsa account on September 4, combining engine sounds from all three upcoming cars with carefully selected shots of their bodywork. Supernova Games Studios has not formally announced the model names yet. However, the visual and audio clues strongly point towards three very different generations of four-wheel-drive rally machinery. Peugeot 206 WRC appears to be heading to Assetto Corsa Rally The easiest car to identify appears to be the Peugeot 206 WRC. Its distinctive bonnet vents can be seen in the teaser, matching the car Peugeot used at the highest level of international rallying between 1999 and 2003. The 206 WRC became one of the defining rally cars of its era, helping Peugeot secure three consecutive manufacturers’ titles and carrying Marcus Grönholm to the 2000 and 2002 drivers’ championships. Its appearance would also add another important late-1990s and early-2000s World Rally Car to Assetto Corsa Rally’s expanding historical roster. Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 also teased The second car appears to be the Volkswagen Polo GTI R5, Volkswagen Motorsport’s customer rally car introduced in 2018. The Polo would give Assetto Corsa Rally another modern four-wheel-drive machine to run alongside cars such as the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 and Hyundai i20. Unlike the 206, the Polo represents the customer-focused R5 generation that preceded today’s Rally2 terminology, providing a noticeably different driving and technical profile from the older World Rally Car.
