A highly requested feature looks set to be on the way to Assetto Corsa Rally, as a ‘clubs’ mode has been discussed by Games Director Irvin Zonca during a community Q&A session. Last month’s Version 0.5 early access update for the rally simulation included the ‘first phase’ of online multiplayer. The synchronous mode sees drivers hit the stage at the same time through a lobby browser, with additional functionality expected in subsequent updates. However, Zonca, when asked about an asynchronous ‘clubs’ mode, sounded positive that something akin to that seen in WRC Generations, DiRT Rally and EA SPORTS WRC would happen. “It’s a topic that has been discussed many times with the team from the very initial game design phases,” he explained, before confirming: “Internally, we are building our own online infrastructure so that we can support some form of club mode in the future. “So it’s definitely a feature we’d like to have. I cannot say when it will be ready, but this is something we want and we agree that it’s key for giving the players the best way to enjoy the competition, even in this kind of asynchronous mode.” In the aforementioned rally titles by different studios, events can take place over a number of days, with online leaderboards tracking progress. Players can participate in a rally, within a time frame, whenever suits them. Discussion 0 Comments Join the discussion Join Traxion.gg to start discussing with members. Already a member? Sign in
