Aurora plans for 30,000 driverless trucks on roads by end of decade

PITTSBURGH — Aurora Innovation Inc. announced plans to have tens of thousands of driverless trucks on the roads by the end of the decade.

Strip District-headquartered Aurora (NADAQ: AUR) organized its annual Analyst and Investor Day on Wednesday and announced that it is on track to have 30,000 driverless trucks on the road by the end of 2030.

“Today, Aurora and the freight industry are at a point of inflection,” CEO Chris Urmson said during the presentation.
