European-style cab-over-engine truck teased for BeamNG.drive

New image drops soon after the game’s huge V0.39 update

Fresh off the back of perhaps its biggest-ever update, the team behindBeamNG.drive has teased another new vehicle set to join the sandbox driving sim.

An image on social media shows the West Coast USA map with the unmistakable rear end of a cab-over-engine truck poking out in the foreground on the right, its fifth-wheel coupling coquetteishly positioned.

Although the game already has a few truck options, notably the Gavril T-Series, its existing examples are in the traditional North American style, featuring long bonnets. A new European option is therefore most welcome, especially given the popularity of SCS Software’s Euro Truck Simulator 2.

BeamNG’s recent V0.39 update overhauled the game’s graphics (including tech from Gran Turismo 7 creator Polyphony Digital), added a feature-rich photo mode and implemented a tweaked rally mode, with the studio fine-tuning the game’s UI and performance ahead of its imminent PlayStation 5 release later this year.
