Bank of America, Wells Fargo and JPMorgan were among the top filers of patents for quantum-resistant and post-quantum cryptography technology last year, together filing more than 100 as the industry edges closer to the next quantum breakthrough.
The filings were among 1,455 patents for technology designed to prevent hackers from using quantum computing to exploit firms, according to intellectual property law firm Mathys & Squire.
