A Formulaic Network Strategy Suma began his freight education at age 19, working nights at Knight Transportation to fund his college education. From 1999 through the company's rapid growth period in the early 2000s, he observed the founders building a methodical freight network to support their expanding fleet. The process involved identifying corridors with appropriate freight density, matching them to driver populations, and then constructing facilities to support 125 to 150 trucks per market.
