August is traditionally sim racing’s dead month. The iRacing season is dragging, half the paddock is on holiday, and the brands are saving their ammunition for Gamescom, Frankfurt and Black Friday. That has one very concrete practical consequence: what is discounted now is leftover stock from the previous campaign, and what is about to arrive has not dropped in price even once.
