PORSCHE Malaysia showcased the new all-electric Cayenne Electric in Malaysia last weekend, bringing the marque's latest electric SUV to the Petronas Sepang International Circuit alongside the Porsche ARBox Carrera Cup Asia. The Malaysian launch took place on Aug 21-23 as the Porsche one-make championship returns to Sepang for Rounds 9, 10 and 11 of its 2026 season. The new Cayenne Electric, Porsche's second fully electric SUV in Malaysia, combines performance with everyday usability. It offers a WLTP range of up to 642km and supports DC charging at up to 400kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10-80 per cent in under 16 minutes under optimal conditions. The model also features an 800-volt architecture, an oil-cooled performance electric drive system, advanced thermal management, and up to 600kW of recuperation. Turbo Packs 1,156PS At the top of the range, the Cayenne Turbo Electric delivers up to 850kW, equivalent to 1,156PS, with Launch Control. It accelerates from zero to 100kph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 260kph, making it Porsche's most powerful production model to date. The technology reflects Porsche's motorsport development, including experience from Formula E. The Cayenne Electric is available for booking in Malaysia from RM609,000. Racing Returns To Sepang The launch coincides with a triple-header Porsche ARBox Carrera Cup Asia weekend, featuring two sprint races and the series' only endurance race on the 5.543km Sepang circuit. Malaysian driver Naquib Azlan competed for Team Porsche Malaysia in the PRO category, driving car No. 17.
