It’s official—we are in the midst of F1® frenzy! With the Netflix reality series “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” and last year’s F1 movie starring Brad Pitt, it feels like we can’t get enough of the sport. And the excitement continues with the opening of the new F1® arcade in Chicago. Now open in River North, the arcade offers a chance to get behind the wheel in a state-of-the-art Formula 1® simulator—so you can race against Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen (and maybe even win?) Yet that may not even be the best part… if you wake up early and want a place to watch the Grand Prix, this could be the perfect spot! Chicago’s New F1® Arcade in River North launches $15.75 watch parties The F1® Arcade Chicago is hosting official watch parties for every Grand Prix! This experience includes the race on all screens in the venue, live entertainment, competitions, quizzes, prizes, and open access to F1® Arcade’s full-motion racing simulators. The arcade will also offer food and drink options throughout the watch party, with alcohol being served starting at 9 a.m. Since many F1® races take place in Europe, viewings will begin in the morning Chicago time, with doors opening an hour before the race begins. Watch party tickets start at $15.75. General admission ticket includes: - Live in-venue entertainment before the race starts - Open sim racing before and during the race - Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
