Corsair has acquired the assets of Australian simulation-hardware company Trak Racer, extending its push into a corner of gaming where a single customer can spend thousands, and in some configurations tens of thousands, of dollars assembling one system. Financial terms were not disclosed. Corsair also did not identify the specific legal entities, assets or liabilities included in the transaction, and did not provide revenue or profitability figures for Trak Racer. Founder Matt Sten will join Corsair as chief technology officer for Sim Solutions, according to the announcement. The Melbourne-based company brings a catalog of aluminum-profile and tubular cockpits, seats, monitor mounts, motion and haptic systems, and flight-simulation products. Corsair said Trak Racer will complement Fanatec, the German sim racing brand it acquired in 2024, which focuses principally on wheelbases, steering wheels, pedals and shifters. That division points toward a more vertically integrated product strategy: Fanatec supplies the electronic controls, Trak Racer supplies the structure around them, and Corsair can add gaming PCs, monitors, streaming equipment and other peripherals from elsewhere in its portfolio. “Trak Racer meaningfully expands Fanatec’s sim racing lineup, bringing an extensive cockpit and accessories portfolio and a passionate, loyal community that we’re excited to welcome to the Fanatec family,” Corsair CEO Thi La said in the company’s release.
