Cybersecurity education is increasingly moving beyond specialised technology programmes, but for many students, access to such learning remains tied to a fundamental barrier of language.
Against this backdrop, C3iHub at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has launched a Hindi-language cybersecurity programme that will be offered to more than 3 lakh students across 570+ colleges.
Speaking to Education Times , Anand Handa, chief strategy officer, C3iHub, IIT Kanpur, says the Hindi delivery model was designed to address this accessibility gap.
“Through the programme, we aim to create a stronger cybersecurity learning ecosystem and equip students with the knowledge required to pursue further education and opportunities in the cybersecurity domain,” he says.
The programme uses Hindi as the primary medium of instruction while familiarising students with commonly used cybersecurity terminology.
