Daewoo E&C Eyes Hanoi Smart City Expansion

Daewoo E&C Chairman Jung Won-ju emphasized this when he met with Hanoi Mayor Vu Dai Thang at The Grand Lotte Seoul in Sogong-dong, Seoul, on Sep. 8.

Chairman Jung made it clear that administrative backing from Hanoi is essential for the speedy promotion of the project.

Daewoo E&C plans to focus on enhancing the completeness of the Starlake project by proceeding with additional office development in connection with the relocation of government agencies.

Hanoi Mayor Vu Dai Thang responded by highly evaluating Daewoo E&C’s contribution to the development of Hanoi.

In line with this strategy of Hanoi, Daewoo E&C is conceiving a ‘K-Smart City’ model that combines South Korea’s technological prowess and cultural content.
